FAQs

Full Curl Fence

  • Does a fence increase property value?

Indeed, installing a new fence can boost your property value. It enhances security, safety, and overall appearance, which are attractive features for potential buyers. Additionally, a well-maintained fence improves curb appeal, which can be particularly beneficial if you're considering selling your property in the future.
  • How many years does a new fence last?

The lifespan of a fence varies depending on the material used, quality of installation, and regular maintenance. On average, cedar wood fences typically last 25 to 30 years. Chain link or aluminum fences can endure for 25 years or more. Vinyl fences often have the longest lifespan, lasting 35 years or longer with proper care.
  • Are all of your posts set in concrete?

We ensure stability by setting all our fence posts in a minimum of 80 pounds of concrete. This practice provides a solid foundation for your fence, enhancing its durability and longevity.
  • Should I repair or replace my fence?

The decision to repair or replace your fence depends on its current condition. At Full Curl Fence, we offer complimentary estimates to assess your fence and recommend the most cost-effective solution, whether that's repairing your existing fence or installing a new one.
  • Should I stain my wood fence?

While staining isn't mandatory for our treated wood or cedar fences, we recommend it for cedar privacy fences. Applying a stain can significantly extend the fence's lifespan, potentially adding ten years or more to its durability.
  • How long does it take to install a new fence?

Installation time varies based on the project size and fence type, ranging from one day to several days. We advise making arrangements for pet containment during the installation process, especially if we're replacing an existing fence or installing a new one.
  • Do I need to have the public utility lines marked before installing the fence?

Full Curl Fence will handle the marking of public utilities. Please note that the utility locating service may require access to backyards or locked areas to accurately identify public utility lines.
  • Whose responsibility is it to mark the private utilities?

The property owner is responsible for marking private underground utilities. This includes sewer lines, drain fields, septic systems, water or well lines, propane gas lines, and any privately installed electrical lines to outbuildings.
  • Do I need to worry about my underground irrigation system?

As a homeowner, you're responsible for marking underground sprinkler lines and heads. We strive to avoid damage, but if properly identified beforehand, we will repair any damage to sprinkler lines that may occur during the fence installation process.
  • Who is responsible for locating the property lines?

When installing fences along property lines, it's the homeowner's responsibility to ensure that survey pins are visible or that the fence layout is clearly marked. This helps us accurately place your fence within your property boundaries.
